Criteria and Requirements
- Low or moderate income and/or first generation college student (parents/guardians have not received a bachelors degree or higher);
- Completed and passed the following high school courses: Algebra I, 1 Science class, and 2 English classes;
- Must be registered for the following Grade 11 courses: 1 Science with a lab, 1 Foreign language, at least 1 Social Studies;
- Minimum GPA of 2.00 on 4.00 scale. If your school's scale is different, ask your Guidance counselor to help you translate your GPA.
- Students and parents must sign a contract with HERC related to program expectations;
- A desire to attend a 2 or 4 year college or university.

Students and parents interested and motivated to put in extra time and work required to apply to college and succeed. We seek individuals and families that are comfortable with and embrace Christian faith and values. Lastly, we are interested in partnering with students that want to grow and develop their academic and life skills.

- Completed and signed Application
- Two (2) type-written essays 100-250 words each
- Two recommendations (2) are required from teacher, pastor, youth pastor or community leader
- Official transcript (grade report)
- Verification of family income (copy of most recent Tax return or Proof of eligibility for Free lunch in writing)

Application fee: Free
Enrollment Fee: $75.00 non-refundable due upon acceptance into program. Make money order payable to Boston HERC.
Application Timeline
At this time, applications are being collected on a rolling basis.
Application DUE: Rolling admissions until September 30, 2010 (see Application Requirements section for details)
Student & Parent Interviews: Two weeks upon submission of completed application.
Acceptance & Wait List Letters Mailed: You will be notified by mail two weeks following your interview.
